Turkey’s new coronavirus program  and thus population restrictions  have launched on 6 September.

In particular, these measures will require the presentation of a negative PCR test result for all unvaccinated and not exposed to COVID-19 for all travel around the country – by plane, train or bus. Moreover, the test should be no older than 72 hours. Also, a PCR test will be required to visit all public places, such as concerts, clubs, etc.

Recall that the Turkish tourism industry is seriously concerned about this. The introduction of PCR tests for tourists, among other things, promised to “bring down” the autumn excursion programs, in particular, to Cappadocia. Considering that 93% of Russian tourists in Turkey are not vaccinated, and additional tests are paid, the measure could have forced many to abandon the trip. Accordingly, “foreigners who come to the territory of the Republic of Turkey for a short period of time for the purpose of tourism” will not be affected by these measures.
