Turkish Ambassador to Russia made an important statement for tourists on restrictions

The Turkish Ambassador to Russia encouraged Russian tourists, and at the same time the Russian and Turkish tourism business, promising that new harsh antiquity measures will not affect tourists vacationing in Turkey. Recall that concerns have already been expressed.

Turkey’s new coronavirus program  and thus population restrictions  have launched on 6 September.

In particular, these measures will require the presentation of a negative PCR test result for all unvaccinated and not exposed to COVID-19 for all travel around the country – by plane, train or bus. Moreover, the test should be no older than 72 hours. Also, a PCR test will be required to visit all public places, such as concerts, clubs, etc.

Recall that the Turkish tourism industry is seriously concerned about this. The introduction of PCR tests for tourists, among other things, promised to “bring down” the autumn excursion programs, in particular, to Cappadocia. Considering that 93% of Russian tourists in Turkey are not vaccinated, and additional tests are paid, the measure could have forced many to abandon the trip. Turkish Ambassador to Russia Mehmet Samsar reassured the tourist business – all antiquated measures will still not concern tourists. “The new measures to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, which will take effect on September 6, 2021 and regarding the attendance of such mass events as concerts, film screenings, as well as travel around the country by public transport, apply to Turkish citizens and foreigners permanently residing / with a residence permit on the territory of the Republic of Turkey, “he said in an interview with RIA Novosti. Accordingly, “foreigners who come to the territory of the Republic of Turkey for a short period of time for the purpose of tourism” will not be affected by these measures.
